Hello!

Thank you for visiting my website! My name is Amanda and I am looking forward to helping you get started (or continue) on your musical journey! My belief is that everyone is capable of developing musical skills. My goal is to help students achieve their musical aspirations and develop a genuine love and appreciation of music. I am committed to adapting to each student's learning style in order for them to thrive. In addition to developing a strong student and teacher relationship, the  parents can also play an important role in a student's long-term success.

My Story

My musical journey began with piano lessons at age 7. Many years later, I pursued a Bachelor of Music degree with a focus in Piano Performance at UNO, graduating with honors in 2016. During my time in the music program, I performed works of Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, Rachmaninoff and others. In addition to solo piano work, I accompanied a vocalist, worked with various partners in a piano ensemble group, and served as a violinist in the school’s Heartland Philharmonic Orchestra. I also taught piano to a handful of students and was an assistant teacher for the Violin Sprouts program led by the Omaha Conservatory of Music. Post-graduation, I served as a violinist in Orchestra Omaha as well in the musical Esther

I returned back to Auburn in the fall of 2019. More recently, I have been developing plans to begin teaching again so that I can share my passion with others. I am hoping to join in building up the musical community in Auburn and the surrounding areas. To enhance my teaching skills, I am currently a participant in the Suzuki Teacher Training program, which will be ongoing. You can view my Suzuki profile here: https://suzukiassociation.org/person-profile/?uid=310395.

Since moving back to Auburn, I have primarily been relying on online musical communities in order to connect with other musicians. Currently, all of my time spent playing music is alone, so I have finally started to explore accompanying myself and it is not only fun, but it also keeps my skills sharp! If you’d like to see an example of one of my performances, here is link to a video of my most recent work!
